A real crowd pleaser, especially when I make them for the guys at Tubby HQ.
Here's a few extra tips to make sure ur tiger bits hit hard:
1. Make sure to pat the halloumi dry
2. Some Halloumi is packed full of water/brine. So make sure to drain the air fryer basket half way thru of any excess moisture - this will help with the crispiness.
3. If you wanna make it look MUCH BETTER than mine, just simply chop some fresh spring onions and chillies and sprinkle all over.
4. This makes a great snack but if you wanna take it to a higher level, pack it into a tortilla wrap with kewpie mayo, crunchy asian style slaw and crispy onions.
Ingredients
-
1 Block of Halloumi (patted dry)
-
1 Bottle of Smoked Oil
-
1 Bottle of Korean One Sauce
-
1 big sprinkle of Tiger Salt
-
OPTIONAL: Fresh Chilli, Spring Onions, Coriander, Limes.
Directions
Chop your halloumi into bitesize nuggs.
Toss them in the air fryer with a big drizz of smoked oil and shake em all about.
Slap them in the air fryer on max crisp for like 10 mins (Just use ur peepers to check them regularly and check my notes above for special hints and tips for crispy nuggs)
Half way thru, drain the excess water from the air fryer basket. Then drizzle in some korean sauce and toss em like there’s no tomorrow.
Once glazed successfully pour em out into your mouth and sprinkle with a tonne of tiger salt.
Add garnishes if you’re trying to impress. drizzle with hot honey if u like it very schweet
